Under the federal Affordable Care Act, all employees must be notified of their health coverage options, including the availability of coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace (in Massachusetts, the Massachusetts Health Connector). This notice provides some basic information concerning your current coverage and the availability of other coverage to assist you in comparing your options. Note that most GIC-eligible employees are not eligible for tax credits toward Marketplace or Connector coverage. Those who are low income and face high premium costs (e.g., because they are low income and live out of state) might be eligible for tax credits toward Marketplace or Connector coverage; the Notice has contact information. All employees received this notice through their agency or municipality by October 1, 2013. New employees also receive this notice. The notice is available on the forms section of this site.
