    Performance Recognition Program logo

Each year the Human Resources Division coordinates the Commonwealth of Massachusetts' Performance Recognition Program. This program formally recognizes outstanding state employees who demonstrate exemplary leadership, strong commitment, and an extraordinary work ethic. These awards focus attention on the distinguished achievements made by both individuals and teams of state employees. The Performance Recognition Program recognizes those employees who demonstrate: innovation and dedication to their work, concern for the public trust and a commitment to excellence.

Employees and their contributions play a major role in the Commonwealth's successful delivery of quality services to its citizens. Outstanding employees set high standards for themselves and they motivate and influence their fellow workers to adopt similar standards. For twenty-eight years, Performance Recognition Program has been an important means to publicly acknowledge and encourage outstanding performance

To honor these exceptional state employees, Governor Deval Patrick has proclaimed May 9th as the 2012 Performance Recognition Day. The Massachusetts House and Senate have also issued resolutions commending all State employees for their commitment and dedicated service on the occasion of Performance Recognition Day.
