This job aid describes the procedure for locating Job Postings by searching the Commonwealth Employment Opportunities (CEO) database. When searching, you can see all Job Postings (at all stages) for your agency, central office, or Secretariat and below.

Conducting a Quick Search retrieves all relevant Job Postings based on the text entered. Advanced Search allows for a more detailed and specific search.

Agency Jobs Active and Inactive

Agency Jobs Active: are jobs in your agency/central office/Secretariat in Pending, Approved, Deferred & Published statuses. Agency Jobs Inactive: are jobs in your agency/central office/Secretariat that have been made inactive, or jobs that have expired.

1.

After you have logged into the CEO administrator site, click on Jobs .

2.

Click on Agency Jobs Active: or Agency Jobs Inactive.

3.

Click on any of the headers, Posting ID, Official Title, Functional Title, etc. to re-sort the results according to the header (see sample screen shot below)

Agency Jobs: Active

Search Jobs - Active and Inactive

Search Jobs Active: will show jobs in your agency/central office/Secretariat in Pending, Approved, Deferred & Published statuses. Search Jobs Inactive: will show jobs in your agency/central office/Secretariat that have been made inactive, or jobs that have expired.

Quick Search

1.

After you have logged into the administrator site, click on Jobs .

2.

Click on Search Jobs Active: or Search Jobs Inactive.

Icon Tip

Tip: The Quick Search feature allows you to search postings by keyword and pulls up any relevant postings. You may want to search by:

· CEO Posting ID Number

· Agency/Department

· Official/Functional Title

· Location (city/town)

3.

Enter a keyword, such as Registered Nurse.

4.

Click on the Search Quick button

5.

All relative Postings with the search word "Registered Nurse" will appear.

Agency Jobs: Inactive

6.

You can view the relative job posting by clicking on one of the Posting ID links.

Advanced Search

1.

From any page, click on Jobs.

2.

Click on Search Jobs Active: or Search Jobs Inactive.

3.

Under Advanced Search, there are multiple fields that can be searched.

Tip: The Advanced Search feature allows you to search by one or more of the following fields:

· Official Title

· Functional Title

· Posting ID

· Account Number

· Position Number

· Agency

· Location (Region/City/Town)

· Occupational Group

· Full-Time/Part-Time

· Work-Shift

· Internal vs. External

4.

Select Agency Name: such as Executive Office of Elder Affairs

5.

Click on the Search Advanced button.

6.

All relative Postings under agency Executive Office of Elder Affairs will appear.

7.

You can view the relative job posting by clicking on one of the Posting ID links.
