The Medicaid Delivery Model Advisory Commission was established under Section 178 of Chapter 131 of the Acts of 2010 to study comparative costs and benefits of varied care delivery models for the Medicaid program, with the intended outcome an estimation of the efficiency and effectiveness of the different care delivery models. Composed of state Legislators, Secretariat members, private stakeholders and health care advocates, the Commission will consider delivery of care models including, but not limited to, all-managed care, a state-contracted chronic disease management program, and patient-centered medical homes. The Commission shall utilize any previously collected data, where relevant, to compare the current and projected impact of the Managed Care Organization (MCO) program and the Primary Care Clinician (PCC) plan in the context of proposed reforms in paying for medical services and promoting integrated care delivery systems such as Accountable Care Organizations and Patient-Centered Medical Homes. The Commission will be Chaired by Secretary Gonzalez of the Executive Office for Administration and Finance.
