  • Department of Conservation & Recreation - Walden Pond Visitor Center

    As part of a plan to improve the visitor experience at Walden Pond the new Visitor Center building replaces the old park headquarters building and comfort station.  The new building is a one-story, fully accessible structure of approximately 6,500 gsf including basement storage and mechanical areas.  The main level houses a dedicated exhibit and meeting spaces, bookstore, staff offices and public bathroom facilities.

    This Division of Fisheries and Wildlife (DFW) building achieved zero net energy through solar photovoltaics and innovative mechanical systems as well as building envelope quality and reduction of all energy loads through building management.  
  • Addition and Renovation to William X Wall Experiment Station

    William X Wall Experiment Station
    This project includes a new 11,400 square foot state-of-the-art lab addition for air and water quality testing as well as renovations to existing office space. This is the first update that the existing 1950s building has seen.
