Emergencies in BSB Facilities
The BSB Safety, Security and Parking Department establishes fire and emergency response plans for each of its buildings, including evacuation plans and procedures. The BSB Safety, Security and Parking Department also organizes evacuation teams, which are set up by either Agency or floor (depending upon the building) to function as organizers to facilitate the safe evacuation of those who work in, or visit BSB facilities. Evacuation teams, which are picked by the agencies, consist of a Team Leader, Assistant Team Leader, Area Monitor, Stairwell Monitor, and Handicap (HP) Assistant. Evacuation Team Leaders (ETLs) provide team profile information (number of team members, evacuation routes, number of persons requiring assistance, etc.), which BSB maintains and distributes as necessary for both operational and training purposes. The BSB Safety, Security and Parking Department holds evacuation team meetings and training sessions throughout the year. -
Vendor and Contractor Access
All vendor and contractor access to BSB facilities must be scheduled in advance. Building access for vendors and contractor personnel is via each building loading dock. Businesses needing to arrange access for work in BSB facilities should contact the agency or office responsible for that need, and ensure that the agency or office has made the necessary arrangements, prior to the anticipated work date.
