DCAM Commissioner Carole Cornelison received an Honorary Doctor of Engineering Technology degree at Wentworth Institute of Technology’s Spring Commencement on Sunday, May 6, 2012.

In her address to the 179 graduates, Commissioner Cornelison told the students she was asked by her colleagues in state government to encourage each graduate to look to Massachusetts as a great place to begin a career and to put down permanent roots. “We believe that Massachusetts is at the cutting edge of technology and innovation” she said.   She also challenged students to think about what their legacy would be and “to live life with passion and purpose, and stay open to infinite possibilities.” Commissioner Cornelison asked the graduates to focus on three questions as they venture into a new world: “How does this experience help me grow? What can I give? What can I celebrate?”
