On Wednesday, September 21, 2016, DCAMM held a successful outreach event in Lowell.

Lowell's “Doing Business with DCAMM” event was the second in a series of six events scheduled to take place throughout the Commonwealth and was held at the Armand P. Mercier Community Center.

This outreach event, which preceded the groundbreaking for the Lowell Justice Center, drew 75 attendees eager to receive information regarding opportunities to work with DCAMM.  In addition, attendees also had the opportunity to network with key decision makers, Operational Services Division (OSD), lenders, and officials from the City of Lowell.

“Doing Business with DCAMM” provides contractors and other prospective vendors an overview of the functions of the various divisions at DCAMM, including public construction and maintenance and how they can become eligible to bid and work on public construction projects.

Special guests contributing to this event included John LaRose, Senior Project Manager for Dimeo Construction, the firm serving as the Construction Manager on the Lowell Justice Center project.  John informed attendees how most effectively to do business with DCAMM from a contractor’s perspective as well as inviting attendees to discuss potential opportunities with Dimeo on the Lowell Justice Center.  Marc Aronson of Constellation Energy also spoke about their positive experience with DCAMM and opportunities that exist for contractors with the energy firm.

DCAMM was represented by Contractor Certification Deputy Director Taisha Crayton; Director of Small Projects Jack Keleher; Project Controls of Small Projects Douglas Halchak; Deputy Director of Compliance Charles Kelsey; Energy and Sustainability Group Director Jenna Ide; Bid Room Manager Ramona Barr; Workforce Reporting Manager Samilys Rodriguez and Certification’s Public Information Officer Suzzette Waters.
