While most people think of audits as an examination of financial management, the majority of work done in the Office of the State Auditor reviews an agency’s or vendor’s performance and compliance with law and regulations. Nevertheless, the OSA regularly performs audits of the state’s chief financial management bodies such as the Office of the State Treasurer, the Executive Office of Administration and Finance, and the state pension system. Also, you will find here audits of a variety of agencies that focus specifically on the entity’s financial management.
