Budgetary Direct Appropriations

MASSACHUSETTS CULTURAL COUNCIL
0640-0300	For the operation of the Massachusetts cultural council, including grants to public and non-public entities; provided, that notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, the council may expend the amounts herein appropriated for the purposes of the council as provided in sections 52 to 58, inclusive, of chapter 10 of the General Laws in such amounts and at such times as the council may determine pursuant to section 54 of said chapter 10; provided further, that an amount equal to 25 per cent of this appropriation shall be transferred quarterly from the Arts Lottery Fund to the General Fund; and provided further, that any funds expended from this item for the benefit of schoolchildren shall be expended under uniform terms and conditions for all Massachusetts schoolchildren; and provided further, that persons employed under this item shall be considered employees within the meaning of section 1 of chapter 150E of the General Laws and shall be placed in the appropriate bargaining units	14,103,796

0640-0350	For the purposes of cultural resources programs pursuant to section 36 of chapter 69 of the General Laws; provided, that any funds expended from this item for the benefit of schoolchildren shall be expended under uniform terms and conditions for all Massachusetts schoolchildren	3,329,850
