MIDDLESEX SHERIFF
0350-0900	For the operation of the Middlesex sheriff`s department; provided, that notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, $1,200,000 shall be charged to this item and credited to item 4590-0903 within 10 days of the enactment of this act to meet the costs of medical services provided at the department of public health Lemuel Shattuck hospital to inmates of the Middlesex sheriff`s department correctional facilities; provided further, that the department of public health shall refund to this item not later than May 1, 2000, any portion of said $1,200,000 which is in excess of actual said costs incurred before April 1, 2000, as determined by the department of public health; provided further, that the department of public health also shall determine and charge to this item any actual said costs incurred before April 1, 2000, in excess of said $1,200,000, and said costs incurred between April 1 and June 30, 2000, inclusive; and provided further, that all costs associated with the Middlesex correctional facilities` modular units, so called, shall be paid from this item	40,499,006
