Budgetary Direct Appropriations

DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE ADMINISTRATION
1201-0100   For the operation of the department of revenue, including the tax administration division, the division of local services, the audit of certain foreign corporations, the child support enforcement division, and the bureau of special investigations; provided, that $105,000 shall be made available for domestic violence specialists; provided further, that the department may allocate an amount not to exceed $250,000 to the office of the attorney general for the tax prosecution unit; provided further, that the department may allocate funds appropriated herein to the department of state police, the district courts, the probate and family courts, the district attorneys, and other state agencies for the performance of certain child support enforcement activities; and provided further, that federal reimbursements associated with the child support computer network shall be drawn down at the highest possible rate and shall be deposited into a trust account established for expenditures associated with said network 181,889,921

WATER AND SEWER RATE RELIEF PAYMENTS - LOCAL SERVICES PROGRAM
1231-1000   For a payment to the Commonwealth Sewer Rate Relief Fund established by section 2Z of chapter 29 of the General Laws; provided, that issuers receiving reimbursement from this item as authorized by said section 2Z, as amended by section 12, shall conduct an analysis of options for reducing operating costs, including but not limited to, the use of contracts with private entities for the operation and maintenance of facilities, and shall report findings to the secretary of administration and finance and the chairmen of the house and senate committees on ways and means no later than November 1, 2001 49,531,200

PAYMENTS TO CITIES AND TOWNS FOR ROAD WORK
6005-0017   For payments to cities and towns for the costs incurred in constructing, maintaining, and policing streets and roads, as authorized by clause (c) of section 13 of chapter 64A, section 13 of chapter 64E, and section 14 of chapter 64F of the General Laws; provided, that the amount appropriated herein is in full satisfaction of the amounts payable pursuant to said laws for fiscal year 2002; provided further, that notwithstanding the provisions of section 31 of chapter 81 of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the portion of the Highway Fund allocated for reimbursements to cities and towns for costs actually incurred in constructing, maintaining, and policing city or town streets or roads shall be distributed in fiscal year 2002 in the same proportion as the fiscal year 2001 distribution of said Highway Fund reimbursements; and provided further, that funds appropriated herein may be used for the lease, purchase, and maintenance of vehicles for use in road maintenance, and for costs incurred for the removal of snow and ice 43,472,110
