WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS HOSPITAL RETAINED REVENUE
4590-0912   The department of public health is hereby authorized to expend for the operation of the western Massachusetts hospital, including capital repair and maintenance and motor vehicle replacement, an amount not to exceed $13,448,341 from reimbursements collected for western Massachusetts hospital services; provided, that notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, said hospital shall be eligible to receive and retain full reimbursement from the Medicaid program; provided further, that notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, said hospital shall reimburse the General Fund for a portion of employee benefit expenses, according to a schedule submitted by the commissioner of public health and approved by the secretary of administration and finance; provided further, that such reimbursement shall not exceed 10 per cent of total personnel costs for said hospital; and provided further, that notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, for the purpose of accommodating timing discrepancies between the receipt of retained revenues and related expenditures, the department may incur expenses and the comptroller may certify for payment amounts not to exceed the lower of this authorization or the most recent revenue estimate therefor as reported in the state accounting system 13,448,341
