MASSACHUSETTS BIOMEDICAL INITIATIVES
7007-0500   For a contract with the Massachusetts biotechnology research institute; provided, that said institute shall submit a plan to render the institute financially self-sufficient by July 1, 2003; provided further, that said plan shall include a review of the institute`s expenditures and all possible revenue sources; and provided further, that said plan shall be submitted to the house and senate committees on ways and means and the secretary of administration and finance not later than December 1, 2002 400,000

REGIONAL REDEVELOPMENT PROJECTS
7007-0515   For regional redevelopment projects; provided, that not less than $100,000 shall be made available for the Devens enterprise commission established pursuant to chapter 498 of the acts of 1993; provided further, that said commission shall collaborate with the department of economic development and the Massachusetts development finance agency on a plan to render the commission financially self-sufficient by July 1, 2003; provided further, that said plan shall include a review of the commission`s expenditures and all possible revenue sources, including permitting fees and assessments; provided further, that said plan shall be submitted to the house and senate committees on ways and means and the secretary of administration and finance not later than December 1, 2002; and provided further, that not less than $200,000 shall be made available to the south shore tri-town development corporation established pursuant to chapter 301 of the acts of 1998; provided further, that said corporation shall submit a plan to render itself financially self-sufficient by July 1, 2003; provided further, that said plan shall include a review of the corporation`s expenditures and all possible revenue sources; and provided further, that said plan shall be submitted to the house and senate committees on ways and means and the secretary of administration and finance not later than January 15, 2003 300,000

SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER
7007-0800   For the state match for a small business development center; provided, that no funds shall be expended from this item until such time as the United States Small Business Administration has made a payment or executed a grant or contract with the University of Massachusetts at Amherst for the operation of said center; provided further, that the funds expended from this item shall not exceed 25 per cent of the gross operating cost of said center; provided further, that not more than $300,000 of the amount appropriated herein shall be expended for the purpose of maintaining federal procurement technical assistance services within said center; and provided further, that the expenditure of said $300,000 shall be subject to the receipt of matching funds from federal or private sources including the United States Department of Defense 1,146,448
