SECTION 4.
Clause Eighth of section 6 of chapter 4 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2000 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting at the end thereof the following:- Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, any requirement that a state agency provide public notice in a newspaper shall be equally satisfied by publication of said notice on the official website of the commonwealth. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, any requirement that a city or town provide public notice in a newspaper shall be equally satisfied by publication of said notice on the official website of said city or town. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, any requirement that a state authority provide public notice in a newspaper shall be equally satisfied by publication of said notice on the official website of the commonwealth or the official website of the authority.
