Oversight Authority - Information Technology Projects SECTION 14. Subsection (d) of section 4A of chapter 7 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting at the end of the first paragraph the following sentence:- Any planned information technology development project or purchase by any agency under the authority of the governor for which the total projected cost exceeds $200,000, including the cost of any related hardware, software, or consultant fees, shall be reviewed and approved by the chief information officer before such agency may obligate funds for such project or purchase. The chief information officer may establish such rules and procedures as he deems necessary to implement the provisions of this paragraph. |
