 Department of State Police Operations  
   8100-0000   For the administration and operation of the department of state police; provided, that costs associated with the 77th and 78th state police classes shall be funded herein; provided further, that the department shall expend funds from this item for the purposes of maximizing federal grants for the operation of a counter-terrorism unit; provided further, that the department may expend funds appropriated in this item for the administration of budgetary, procurement, fiscal, human resources, payroll, and other administrative services of the office of the chief medical examiner, the municipal police training committee, and the criminal history systems board; and provided further that the department may expend funds appropriated in this item for the overtime of state police officers 210,333,554

 State Police Private Detail Retained Revenue  
   8100-0006   The department of state police is hereby authorized to expend for the costs of private police details, including administrative costs, an amount not to exceed $13,500,000 from fees charged for said details; provided, that notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, for the purpose of accommodating timing discrepancies between the receipt of retained revenues and related expenditures, the department may incur expenses and the comptroller may certify for payment amounts not to exceed the lower of this authorization or the most recent revenue estimate therefor as reported in the state accounting system 13,500,000
 
 Federal Reimbursement State Police Retained Revenue  
   8100-0011   The department of state police is hereby authorized to expend for costs associated with joint federal and state law enforcement activities and other police activities provided pursuant to agreements authorized in this item an amount not to exceed $3,600,000 from federal reimbursements and other revenues received for said costs; provided, that the colonel of state police may enter into contracts for the provision of police services with the commanding officer or other person in charge of a military reservation of the United States located in the commonwealth or the Massachusetts development finance agency; provided further, that said superintendent may enter into service agreements as may be necessary to enhance the protection of persons, as well as assets and infrastructure located within the commonwealth, from possible external threat or activity; and provided further, that notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, for the purpose of accommodating timing discrepancies between the receipt of retained revenues and related expenditures, the department may incur expenses and the comptroller may certify for payment amounts not to exceed the lower of this authorization or the most recent revenue estimate therefor as reported in the state accounting system 3,600,000

   8100-0012   The department of state police is hereby authorized to expend for the costs of security services provided by state police officers, including overtime and administrative costs, an amount not to exceed $1,000,000 from fees charged for said services; provided, that notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, for the purpose of accommodating timing discrepancies between the receipt of retained revenues and related expenditures, the department may incur expenses and the comptroller may certify for payment amounts not to exceed the lower of this authorization or the most recent revenue estimate therefor as reported in the state accounting system 1,000,000
