SECTION 65.
Said section 2 of said chapter 81A, as most recently amended by section 9 of chapter 196 of the acts of 2004, is hereby further amended by striking out subsection (b) and inserting in place thereof the following subsection:- (b) Except for the chairman, the members of the authority in office before July 31, 2004 shall continue for the remainder of their respective terms. Except for the secretary of transportation, members of the authority appointed after July 1, 2004 shall be appointed for terms of five years. Any person appointed to fill a vacancy shall serve only for the unexpired term. The chairman of the authority whose term of office began before July 31, 2002 shall continue in office until July 1, 2005.
