The department of public health is hereby authorized to expend for program costs of the division of health care quality an amount not to exceed $504,922 in revenues collected from the licensure of health facilities; provided, that the department is hereby authorized to expend for the costs of emergency medical technician licensure and recertification an amount not to exceed $800,000 from revenues collected from individuals applying for such licensure and re-certification; and provided further, that notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, for the purpose of accommodating timing discrepancies between the receipt of retained revenue and related expenditures, the department may incur expenses and the comptroller may certify for payment amounts not to exceed the lower of this authorization or the most recent revenue estimate therefor as reported in the state accounting system |
