| 4000-0250 | Homelessness Prevention and Elimination Services For shelters and services for persons at risk of homelessness, including homeless individuals, families, and veterans; provided, that shelter and service spending shall be funded from this item at the discretion of the secretary of health and human services; provided further, that the emergency assistance program shall be funded from this item under the eligibility standards applied in fiscal year 2007; and provided further, that the secretary may restrict eligibility to remain within the funding allocated for the emergency assistance program, but 60 days before adopting any such restriction, the secretary shall file with the house and senate committees on ways and means and with the clerks of the house of representatives and the senate her determination that the amount allocated for the program will be insufficient to meet projected expenses and a report setting forth the proposed changes |
