Legislature

The Massachusetts Legislature, or General Court, is a bicameral body consisting of 40 Senators and 160 Representatives. A professional and administrative staff supports the Legislature, primarily through its committee structure. Staff members assist the legislators by researching and writing legislation, providing constituent services, and interacting with state agencies and community organizations.
