| 1750-0102 | Civil Service Exam Fee Retained Revenue The human resources division may expend for the administration of the civil service examination program and examinations for non-civil service positions an amount not to exceed $1,627,500 from fees charged as provided in this item; provided, that the personnel administrator shall collect from participating non-state agencies, political subdivisions, and the general public fees sufficient to cover all costs of the programs, including, but not limited to, a fee of not less than $50 to be collected from each applicant for a civil service or non-civil service examination, notwithstanding clause (n) of section 5 of chapter 31 of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary; and provided further, that notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, for the purpose of accommodating timing discrepancies between the receipt of retained revenues and related expenditures, the division may incur expenses and the comptroller may certify for payment amounts not to exceed the lower of this authorization or the most recent revenue estimate therefor as reported in the state accounting system |
