This year the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office is participating in the Fourth Annual Massachusetts Legal Food Frenzy to help provide food for the community.

The Legal Food Frenzy, sponsored by the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office,  is a state-wide friendly competition within the legal community to raise funds and collect food for food pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters during a traditionally show time for donations.  All of the funds and food collected by the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office will go directly to the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts.

This year’s Legal Food Frenzy will run from April 29th to May 10th.  The 2013 goal is to collect 500,000 pounds of food, or equivalent monetary donations, during the two week campaign.  Last year’s campaign collected 430,000 pounds of food, providing 331,000 meals for families in Massachusetts.

Donations of non-perishable food items or monetary donations may be dropped off at either location of the District Attorney’s Office (7 North Street, Pittsfield, or 111 Holden Street, North Adams) during regular business hours.
