The Berkshire District Attorney’s Office participated in the 10th Annual Morningside Pride Night on Thursday June 5, 2014. The event was hosted by the Morningside Initiative Steering Committee and Morningside Community School.
The annual event helps foster a sense of pride in the Morningside neighborhood by bringing residents and businesses together for a community fair. The fair features health, safety and prevention education along with food, activities and entertainment.
The event, attended by more than 200, receives great support from the public safety and law enforcement community as well as social service agencies and non-profits.
Organizations participating in this year’s event include Pittsfield Police and Fire Departments, Berkshire District Attorney’s Office, Berkshire County Sheriff’s Department, Morningside Alchemy Initiative, Berkshire Dream Center, Morningside Community School’s Family Center, Berkshire County Head Start, Berkshire North WIC Program, Gladys Allen Brigham Community Center/Girls Inc., Central Berkshire Habitat for Humanity & Re-Store, Suicide Prevention Coalition, The Brien Center, Berkshire Health Systems’ Community Outreach program, Pittsfield Parks and Recreation Program, Berkshire County Regional Housing Authority, Pittsfield Prevention Partnership, Pittsfield Promise with the program Every Child Ready to Read, Springside Park Conservancy, Western Mass Electric Company Outreach, Pittsfield Community Connection, Berkshire Theater Group, and Be Well Berkshires: Mass in Motion.
