Borden pleads guilty to drug charges
A Pittsfield man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to several charges. 21 year old SHAUN M. BORDEN a/k/a SHAUN STRACUZZI (646 North Street) appeared before Judge John Agostini.
BORDEN pleaded guilty to one (1) count of POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE, one (1) count of DRUG VIOLATION WITHIN A DRUG FREE SCHOOL ZONE, one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, one (1) count of ILLEGAL OWNERSHIP OF A FIREARM, RIFLE OR SHOTGUN, one (1) count of IMPROPER STORAGE OF A FIREARM, RIFLE OR SHOTGUN ACCESSIBLE TO A MINOR, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF AMMUNITION WITHOUT A FIREARM IDENTIFICATION CARD, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF A STUN GUN, one (1) count of RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY OVER $250 and one (1) count of POSSESSION OF OXYCODONE. Judge Agostini ordered that BORDEN serve concurrent 1 day sentences to the Berkshire County House of Correction on the charges of POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE, CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS and POSSESSION OF OXYCODONE. He was given concurrent 2 year house of correction sentences, to be served on and after the first sentence, on the other charges.
The charges stem from the execution of a search warrant at his home on July 21, 2011.
One (1) count of POSSESSION OF A FIREARM DURING THE COMMISSION OF A FELONY was dismissed at the request of the Commonwealth.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department, deputies from the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Office and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire County Drug Task Force.
