Hudson arraigned on firearm charges

A Pittsfield man was arraigned this morning in Berkshire Superior Court on firearm charges.  25 year old KURT H. HUDSON appeared before Judge Daniel Ford. 

HUDSON had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM, RIFLE OR SHOTGUN and one (1) count of POSSESSION OF A FIREARM, RIFLE OR SHOTGUN WITH A PRIOR CONVICTION FOR A VIOLENT CRIME OR SERIOUS DRUG OFFENSE.  Judge Ford ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $100,000 bail. 

It is alleged that HUDSON was in possession of a firearm in Pittsfield on December 4, 2011. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office.
