Kerr arraigned in Superior Court

A Pittsfield man was arraigned this morning in Berkshire Superior Court on several charges.  22 year old JAMES D. KERR (246 First Street) appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

KERR had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on two (2) counts of BREAKING AND ENTERING IN THE DAYTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY, (2) counts of MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PERSONAL PROPERTY OVER $250, two (2) counts of LARCENY IN A BUILDING, one (1) count of RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY OVER $250 and one (1) count of COMMON AND NOTORIOUS THIEF.  Judge Agostini ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $2,500 cash or $25,000 surety bail. 

It is alleged that KERR broke in to houses in Richmond, Dalton and Pittsfield between October 21, 2010 and January 30, 2012. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield and Dalton Police Departments and state troopers assigned to the Lee barracks.
