Whiteside pleads guilty, sent to jail
A Pittsfield man pleaded guilty this morning in Berkshire Superior Court to a drug charge. 42 year old JIE D. WHITESIDE appeared before Judge John Agostini.
WHITESIDE pleaded guilty to one (1) count of POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE in connection with the execution of a search warrant at 816 North Street, in Pittsfield, on January 31, 2011.
Judge Agostini ordered that WHITESIDE serve 30 days of a 1 year sentence to the Berkshire County House of Correction. He was also placed on 1 year probation on the condition WHITESIDE remain drug free and undergo drug testing during the probationary period.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield, North Adams, Adams and Lee Police Departments and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire County Drug Task Force.
