Wright pleads guilty, sentencing on the 29th

A Lenox man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to drug charges.  38 year old ALONZO B. WRIGHT appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

WRIGHT pleaded guilty to one (1) count of POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF SUBOXONE and one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, TO WIT: POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE.  Judge Agostini released him on personal recognizance pending sentencing which will occur on Wednesday, February 29, 2012.   

WRIGHT was in possession of marijuana with the intent to sell the drug and in possession of suboxone when he was arrested on April 15, 2010 and conspired with others to sell marijuana between December 22, 2009 and April 15, 2010.    

The investigation was conducted by members of the Berkshire County Drug Task Force, including state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Pittsfield, Adams, North Adams, Dalton, Lee, Lenox, Williamstown, Lanesborough, Great Barrington and Stockbridge Police Departments, federal investigators from the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
