A Pittsfield man was found not guilty this morning in Berkshire Superior Court on several charges.  The jury deliberated for about 7 hours over a two day period before returning its verdict against 27 year old STEPHEN ABRIEL. 

ABRIEL was found not guilty on four (4) counts of ASSAULT AND BATTERY BY MEANS OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON, three (3) counts of ASSAULT AND BATTERY, one (1) count of INTIMIDATION OF A WITNESS OR OTHER PERSON and one (1) count of POSSESSION OF A STUN GUN.  

The incidents stem from a disturbance on Cloverdale Street, in Pittsfield, on July 4, 2010. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
