Andrews enters not guilty pleas in Superior Court

A Hinsdale man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on several charges.  46 year old KEVIN W. ANDREWS (268 Washington Road) appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

ANDREWS had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, TO WIT: UTTERING A FALSE PRESCRIPTION, nine (9) counts of MAKING A FALSE HEALTH CARE CLAIM and nine (9) counts of FRAUDULENTLY OBTAINING A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE.  Judge Agostini released him on personal recognizance.          

It is alleged that ANDREWS conspired with others to obtain prescription drugs and did obtain the drugs through the use of a fraudulent prescription.  The incidents are alleged to have occurred in Pittsfield between March 14, 2011 and August 13, 2011.      

The investigation was conducted by Investigators assigned to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Diversion Investigative Unit.
