A Pittsfield man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to sexual assault charges.  49 year old DAVID TIMOTHY BECKETT appeared before Judge Daniel Ford. 

BECKETT pleaded guilty to two (2) counts of INDECENT ASSAULT AND BATTERY ON AN ELDER and two (2) counts of INDECENT ASSAULT AND BATTERY ON A PERSON WHO HAS ATTAINED 14.  Judge Ford ordered that he serve concurrent 3 to 4 year state prison sentences at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Cedar Junction. 

The incident occurred in North Adams on December 28, 2010 and involved two women who are 19 and 66 years of age. 

One (1) count of ENTERING WITHOUT BREAKING AT NIGHT was dismissed at the request of the Commonwealth. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the North Adams Police Department.
