Connors sent to prison on drug charges

A Lee man pleaded guilty this morning in Berkshire Superior Court to drug charges.  28 year old ROBIN M. CONNORS a/k/a ROBIN M. CONNORS-VALENTI appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

CONNORS pleaded guilty to one (1) count of POSSESSION OF HEROIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE and one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS.  Judge Agostini ordered that he serve concurrent 3 to 4 year state prison sentences at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Cedar Junction.    

The charges stem from a motor vehicle stop in Lee on November 9, 2011. 

One (1) count of DISTRIBUTION OF HEROIN and one (1) count of DRUG VIOLATION WITHIN A DRUG FREE SCHOOL ZONE were dismissed at the request of the Commonwealth. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the Lee Police Department and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire County Drug Task Force.
