Dow arraigned on sexual assault charges

An East Longmeadow man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on sexual assault charges.  39 year old CHRISTOPHER DOW (1 Day Avenue) appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

DOW had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on two (2) counts of RAPE OF A CHILD WITH FORCE and one (1) count of INDECENT ASSAULT AND BATTERY ON A CHILD UNDER 14.  Judge Agostini released him on personal recognizance on the condition DOW have no contact with the alleged victim.

The incidents are alleged to have occurred in Williamstown between September 1, 1987 and August 31, 1990.  The alleged victim is a male who is now 33 years of age. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the Williamstown Police Department.
