Gomes has not guilty pleas entered on drug charges

An Adams woman was arraigned this morning in Berkshire Superior Court on drug charges.  18 year old NITA K. GOMES (99 Howland Avenue) appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

GOMES had not guilty pleas entered on her behalf on one (1) count of POSSESSION OF HEROIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE, two (2) counts of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF HEROIN and one (1) count of BEING PRESENT WHERE HEROIN IS KEPT.  Judge Agostini ordered that she be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $1,000 bail.

The charges stem from the execution of a search warrant at her home on August 10, 2012. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the Adams, Lanesborough, North Adams and Pittsfield Police Departments and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire County Drug Task Force.
