Harris appears in Court on drug and firearm charges

A Pittsfield man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on several charges.  24 year old WALTER HARRIS (466 Fenn Street) appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

HARRIS had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF A FIREARM DURING THE COMMISSION OF A FELONY, one (1) count of ILLEGAL OWNERSHIP OF A FIREARM, RIFLE OR SHOTGUN, one (1) count of IMPROPER STORAGE OF A FIREARM and one (1) count of POSSESSION OF COUNTERFEIT BILLS.  Judge Agostini released him on $2,000 cash or $20,000 surety bail. 

The charges stem from the execution of a search warrant at his home on September 26, 2012.

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office members of the Berkshire County Drug Task Force.
