Heideman enters not guilty pleas

A North Adams man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court in connection with a sexual assault.  29 year old KEVIN A. HEIDEMAN (28 State Road) appeared before Judge Daniel Ford. 

HEIDEMAN had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of RAPE, one (1) count of ASSAULT AND BATTERY, one (1) count of MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PERSONAL PROPERTY OVER $250, one (1) count of INTIMIDATION OF A WITNESS OR OTHER PERSON and one (1) count of DISTURBING THE PEACE.  Judge Ford released him on personal recognizance on the condition HEIDEMAN remain drug and alcohol free and have no contact with the alleged victim. 

It is alleged that HEIDEMAN sexually assaulted a 24 year old woman in North Adams on December 3, 2011.  The other charges allegedly stem from the same incident. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the North Adams Police Department.
