A Joshua Tree, California man pleaded guilty this morning in Berkshire Superior Court to drug charges. 30 year old JOSHUA FLOYD HOLTZMAN appeared before Judge Daniel Ford.
HOLTZMAN pleaded guilty to one (1) count of POSSESSION OF OXYCODONE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE, two (2) counts of DISTRIBUTION OF OXYCODONE and one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS. Judge Ford ordered that he serve concurrent 18 month sentences to the Berkshire County House of Correction on one (1) count of POSSESSION OF OXYCODONE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE, one (1) count of DISTRIBUTION OF OXYCODONE and one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS. HOLTZMAN was placed on 3 years probation on the other count of DISTRIBUTION OF OXYCODONE.
HOLTZMAN sold oxycodone and was in possession of oxycodone when he was arrested. The incidents occurred in North Adams on December 23, 2010.
Two (2) counts of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS were dismissed at the request of the Commonwealth.
The investigation was conducted by members of the North Adams, Pittsfield and Stockbridge Police Departments and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire County Drug Task Force.
