Hudson pleads guilty to gun charges, sent to prison
A Pittsfield man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to firearm charges. 26 year old KURT H. HUDSON appeared before Judge John Agostini.
HUDSON pleaded guilty to one (1) count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM, RIFLE OR SHOTGUN and one (1) count of POSSESSION OF A FIREARM, RIFLE OR SHOTGUN WITH A PRIOR CONVICTION FOR A VIOLENT CRIME OR SERIOUS DRUG OFFENSE. Judge Agostini ordered that he serve a 3 to 4 year state prison sentence at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Cedar Junction on the charge of POSSESSION OF A FIREARM, RIFLE OR SHOTGUN WITH A PRIOR CONVICTION FOR A VIOLENT CRIME OR SERIOUS DRUG OFFENSE. HUDSON was given a concurrent 2 and a half to 3 year state prison sentence on the charge of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM, RIFLE OR SHOTGUN.
HUDSON was in possession of a firearm in Pittsfield on December 4, 2011.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office.
