A Springfield man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on a drug charge.  29 year old MARCUS D. JAMES (24 Collins Street) appeared before Judge Daniel Ford. 

JAMES had a not guilty plea entered on his behalf on one (1) count of TRAFFICKING IN COCAINE.  Judge Ford ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $15,000 cash or $150,000 surety bail. 

The incident occurred in Pittsfield on May 4, 2012. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
