Jones is arraigned on numerous breaks
A North Adams man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on numerous charges. 27 year old RICHARD C. JONES III (55 Chase Avenue) appeared before Judge Mary Lou Rup.
JONES had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on two (2) counts of BREAKING AND ENTERING IN THE DAYTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY, fifteen (15) counts of BREAKING AND ENTERING IN THE NIGHTTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY, twelve (12) counts of LARCENY OVER $250, two (2) counts of LARCENY FROM A BUILDING, one (1) count of MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PERSONAL PROPERTY OVER $250, two (2) counts of TRESPASSING, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF BURGLARIOUS TOOLS, one (1) count of MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PERSONAL PROPERTY UNDER $250 and one (1) count of COMMON AND NOTORIOUS THIEF. Judge Rup released him on personal recognizance with the condition he have no contact with alleged victims.
The charges stem from a series of breaks in Williamstown and North Adams between February 12, 2012 and March 19, 2012.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Williamstown and North Adams Police Departments.
