Labarre is arraigned on sexual assault charges

A Pittsfield man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on sexual assault and other charges.  22 year old ROBERT LABARRE appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

LABARRE had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on two (2) counts of RAPE OF A CHILD WITH FORCE, five (5) counts of POSE OR EXHIBIT A CHILD IN A STATE OF NUDITY and seven (7) counts of KNOWINGLY POSSESSING VISUAL MATERIAL OF A CHILD DEPICTED IN SEXUAL CONDUCT.  Judge Agostini ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $50,000 bail with the condition LABARRE  have no contact with the alleged victims or their families. 

The incidents are alleged to have occurred in Pittsfield between October 1, 2010 and July 12, 2012 and allegedly involved four children between the ages of 5 and 10. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
