Methe pleads guilty gets jail time and probation
A Washington woman pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to several charges. 22 year old LAURA METHE appeared before Judge John Agostini.
METHE pleaded guilty to five (5) counts of ARMED ROBBERY WHILE MASKED, two (2) counts of ARMED ASSAULT WIT INTENT TO ROB, two (2) counts of ASSAULT BY MEANS OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON, one (1) count of ATTEMPT TO COMMIT A CRIME, TO WIT: ARMED ROBBERY WHILE MASKED and one (1) count of FAILURE TO STOP FOR A POLICE OFFICER. Judge Agostini ordered that she serve a 210 day sentence at the Berkshire County House of Correction on the charge of ATTEMPT TO COMMIT A CRIME, TO WIT: ARMED ROBBERY WHILE MASKED. METHE was placed on 3 years probation on the other charges except for one (1) count of FAILURE TO STOP FOR A POLICE OFFICER which was placed on file.
The charges stem from a series of armed robberies in Pittsfield that occurred between August 22, 1022 and November 22, 2011.
Two (2) counts of ARMED ROBBERY WHILE MASKED were dismissed at the request of the Commonwealth.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
