Moran pleads guilty to drug charges

A Pittsfield woman pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to drug charges.  26 year old HOLLY J. MORAN appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

MORAN pleaded guilty to one (1) count of POSSESSION OF HEROIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE, one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS and one (1) count of OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE WITH A SUSPENDED LICENSE.  Judge Agostini continued the POSSESSION OF HEROIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE and CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS charges without a finding for 1 year on the condition MORAN refrain from using illegal drugs and undergo testing and substance abuse counseling.  The charge of OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE WITH A SUSPENDED LICENSE was placed on file.    

The charges stem from a motor vehicle stop in Lee on November 9, 2011. 

One (1) count of DRUG VIOLATION WITHIN A DRUG FREE SCHOOL ZONE and one (1) count of OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE WITHOUT AN INSPECTION STICKER were dismissed at the request of the Commonwealth. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the Lee Police Department and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire County Drug Task Force.
