Parks pleads guilty, sent to state prison
A Dalton man pleaded guilty this morning in Berkshire Superior Court. 22 year old MARTIN T. PARKS appeared before Judge John Agostini.
PARKS pleaded guilty to one (1) count of ASSAULT AND BATTERY BY MEANS OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON, CAUSING SERIOUS BODILY INJURY. Judge Agostini ordered that he serve a 5 to 7 year state prison sentence at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Cedar Junction. PARKS will begin serving his sentence on Friday, September 7th.
PARKS stabbed a 46 year old Adams man, in Adams, on October 15, 2011.
One (1) count of ARMED ASSAULT WITH INTENT TO MURDER was dismissed at the request of the Commonwealth.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Adams Police Department.
