Rando pleads guilty, sent to state prison
A Pittsfield man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to several charges. 24 year old NICHOLAS G. RANDO appeared before Judge Daniel Ford.
RANDO pleaded guilty to one (1) count of BREAKING AND ENTERING IN THE NIGHTTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY, one (1) count of BREAKING AND ENTERING IN THE DAYTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY, one (1) count of ASSAULT BY MEANS OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON, one (1) count of FRAUDULENT USE OF A CREDIT CARD, one (1) count of UTTERING, one (1) count of FORGERY and one (1) count of LARCENY UNDER $250 in connection with incidents that occurred in Pittsfield between June 25, 2012 and October 27, 2012.
Judge Ford ordered that he serve concurrent 2 and a half to 3 year state prison sentences at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Cedar Junction on the charges of BREAKING AND ENTERING IN THE NIGHTTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY, BREAKING AND ENTERING IN THE DAYTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY, FRAUDULENT USE OF A CREDIT CARD, UTTERING and FORGERY. RANDO was given concurrent house of correction time on the ASSAULT BY MEANS OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON and LARCENY UNDER $250 charges.
The investigations were conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
