Reyes-Palma found guilty on child sexual assault charges

A Great Barrington man was found guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on sexual assault charges.  The jury deliberated for about 4 hours before returning its verdict against 41 year old CIRO REYES-PALMA.

REYES-PALMA was found guilty on four (4) counts of RAPE OF A CHILD: WITH FORCE, one (1) count of ASSAULT ON A CHILD WITH INTENT TO COMMIT RAPE and six (6) counts of INDECENT ASSAULT AND BATTERY ON A CHILD UNDER 14.  Judge John Agostini issued a default warrant for REYES-PALMA who failed to appear in Court Monday morning.

The jury found that REYES-PALMA sexually assaulted a girl, who is now 15 years of age, in Great Barrington between April 1, 2009 and January 13, 2011.

The investigation was conducted by members of the Great Barrington Police Department.
