Riddle pleads guilty, sent to prison
A Pittsfield man pleaded guilty this morning in Berkshire Superior Court to several charges. 28 year old CHRISTOPHER M. RIDDLE a/k/a CHRIS RIDDLE appeared before Judge Daniel Ford.
RIDDLE pleaded guilty to one (1) count of ARMED ROBBERY in connection with a robbery at Kirk’s Variety on Dalton Avenue in Pittsfield on July 10, 2012.
RIDDLE also pleaded guilty to one (1) count of UNARMED ROBBERY and one (1) count of POSSESSION OF HEROIN in connection with an incident that took place at the Dunkin Donuts on Dalton Avenue in Pittsfield on July 12, 2012.
Judge Ford ordered that he serve a 7 to 8 year state prison sentence at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Cedar Junction on the UNARMED ROBBERY charge. RIDDLE was given a concurrent 6 and a half to 8 year sentence on the ARMED ROBBERY charge and a concurrent 10 day house of correction sentence on the charge of POSSESSION OF HEROIN.
The investigations were conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
