Rohane enters not guilty pleas in Superior Court

A North Adams man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court.  29 year old SHANE M. ROHANE (306 Eagle Street) appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

ROHANE had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of ASSAULT AND BATTERY ON A PERSON 60 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER and two (2) counts of ASSAULT BY MEANS OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON.  Judge Agostini ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $5,000 bail on the condition ROHANE have no contact with the alleged victims if he posts bail. 

The charges stem from an altercation in North Adams on October 4, 2012.  It is alleged that ROHANE beat up a 60 year old man and assaulted two men ages 30 and 21.    

The investigation was conducted by members of the North Adams Police Department.
