Scott pleads guilty, sent to jail

A Pittsfield man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to drug charges.  36 year old MARCUS W. SCOTT a/k/a KASEEM SCOTT, SCOTT KASLEEM, MARCUS K. SCOTT and CASINO appeared before Judge John Agostini.

SCOTT pleaded guilty to one (1) count of POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE and one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS.  Judge Agostini ordered that he serve a 7 month sentence at the Berkshire County House of Correction.    

The incident occurred in Pittsfield on February 28, 2008. 

(1) count of DISTRIBUTION OF COCAINE and one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS were dismissed at the request of the Commonwealth

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield, North Adams, Adams, Lenox and Sheffield Police Departments and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire County Drug Task Force. 

(Note:  The dates are correct.  SCOTT was in default for a number of years.)
